Our 6th Class pupils along with hundreds of pupils from all over Dublin and Glendalough gathered in Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday October 9th for the annual Diocesan Service. The theme this year was friendship. Archbishop Michael Jackson presided over the Service and the pupils were welcomed to the cathedral by Dean Dermot Dunne. The address was given by the Revd. Nigel Mackey, chaplain to Wesley College, Dublin. Afterwards we ventured down to the crypts where we saw among other objects a mummified cat and rat! We also took in Dublinia – where pupils got a chance to explore Viking and Medieval Dublin. It was both and educational and enjoyable occasion for all.
