On Wednesday 25th June we said goodbye to two people who have touched the lives of every pupil and staff member at the Model School. It was Lynda McCann’s last assembly with us, Lynda told stories and gave demonstrations to present R.E in a child friendly way every Wednesday. We also said goodbye to Carmel Byrne who has worked as an S.N.A in our school for the past 8 years. Carmel will be missed by pupils and staff alike, we thank her for her kindness and dedication to everyone during her time with us. We wish both Carmel and Lynda well for the future.
Athy Model School is a primary school under the patronage of the Department of Education, with a Church of Ireland ethos. We endeavour to enable each child to acquire a set of moral values based on the ethos of the school.
