Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd classes went on their school tour to Castlecomer Discovery Park. We took part in a guided nature trail and had lots of fun being ‘scavengers’, looking for and collecting wild flowers and plants. We did a water ecology activity which involved getting into a stream and looking for invertebrates under rocks. We really enjoyed splashing about in our wellies! Before leaving we had an opportunity to play in the playground, we loved having this time to play with our friends. Everyone had a great time and returned to school tired but happy. A big thank you to the parents who came with us on the tour.
