A reminder that applications are now being invited for September 2013 enrolment. Please call to the school for a form if you are interested in your child starting school with us in September.
You are also most welcome to call to have a look around our school any day after 2.20 pm.
Green Schools
A glass art work was installed in our school, in February, by the artist Michelle O’Donnell, under the Art Per Cent grant scheme. Michelle created a garden of flowers from glass on our windows on the ground floor corridor. It is colourful and childlike in style and we are delighted with it. Thank you to Lucina Russell, Kildare Arts Officer, for her help with accessing the grant.
€160 was raised by pupils and staff in aid of Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin, at an assembly on Fri 8th February. Many thanks to all who supported this very worthy cause.
The staff is at present attending a First Aid course after school every Monday.
School will be closed on Monday 18th March for St. Patrick’s Weekend and from Monday 25th March to Friday 5th April for Easter holidays.
Parents Association
The annual school table quiz, organised by the Parents Association, will take place on Friday 22nd March, in Athy Golf Club, at 8 pm. Any monies raised will be used to purchase new classroom laptops and storage for our school library. All are encouraged to support what is always a very enjoyable night.

Athy Model School is a primary school under the patronage of the Department of Education, with a Church of Ireland ethos. We endeavour to enable each child to acquire a set of moral values based on the ethos of the school.
