Our summer term has got off to a great start with the lovely sunny weather we’ve been having. (at least at the time of writing!)
We have a really busy term ahead. These are the main upcoming events:
Fri 15th May: School will close at 1.20 pm to facilitate a staff meeting on this day.
Fri 5th June: West Glendalough Children’s Festival and Sports: this takes place in Donoughmore this year. It is a great day out for the whole family. The children are already practising for the races!
Mon 8th June: Introduction afternoon for new pupils and their parents.
Mon 15th June: Senior ( 3rd-6th class ) School Tour to Kilkenny Activity Centre
Thurs 18th June: Junior ( Infants-2nd class ) School Tour to Nore Valley Park
Sun 21st June: End of Year Service in St. Michael’s Church. This is where we say goodbye to our 6th class pupils and the attendance and other prizes are awarded. We encourage all families to attend this service.
Tues 23rd June: 6th Class Sale. This is always a great event, organised by the 6th class pupils and all in the parish are welcome to come along and support it.
Thurs 25th June: Drumming Workshop in school with Jabba Jabba Jembe (David Day). This has now become an annual event, due to its popularity with the pupils.
We will be sending further details on all these events to parents in due course.
School Closures: School will be closed from Monday 4th until Friday 8th May for midterm break.
School will also be closed on Monday 1st June. (Bank Holiday).
